Profile
After devoting himself to acting as a student at Kyoto City University of Arts, Prof. Fuji has turned local communities throughout Japan into a stage for his project-based art activities. Upon obtaining his Master’s from KCUA, he encountered primordial expression and sociological concepts as an instructor at the National Arts School of Papua New Guinea, and learned about land and city through work in urban planning and redevelopment firms in post-bubble Japan. He practices “dialogue and local experimentation” through demonstration-based artistic expression relying on “local resources, suitable technology and cooperative relationships”.
